New Favorite Spot in Vegas! Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart 👽
What is a Meow Wolf?
You may not have heard of Meow Wolf before, and that’s okay! I hadn’t until a year ago, and my first opportunity to see their incredibly unique work was this trip to Vegas. Meow Wolf is an arts and entertainment group, originally formed as an art collective back in 2008.
Their first permanent installation is located in Santa Fe, the House of Eternal Return, and is famously backed by Game of Thrones creator, George R. R. Martin. They currently have art installations in Santa Fe and Las Vegas, with a Denver location opening later this year.
The Hottest New Art Installation in Las Vegas 😎
The Meow Wolf team is known for their over-the-top, immersive, multimedia experiences that transport the audiences to new realms. I knew their team was very into DIY and found object type art, but didn’t realize just how much they do for the communities they serve as well! According to their site: “Since 2017, Meow Wolf has invested over $1.6 million in funding to local non-profit organizations, projects that pay artists and to art spaces through our annual DIY Fund.”
The Omega Mart location in Area15 Las Vegas opened earlier this year. I was SO excited to check it out and thrilled that we were able to get tickets on this trip! With my love for art and unique experiences, it was a no-brainer. I did however think we would be in and out fairly quickly, but we were totally entranced by all there was to see and ended up staying a full FIVE HOURS. So, leave yourself more time than you think you need- trust me.

We Need Your Help at the Grocery Store!
Ready to be Employee of the Moment? The time is NOW.
The primary area of Omega Mart is of course, a grocery store, featuring the most revolutionary new products (like my personal favorite, 96-hour energy). The employees of the store need YOUR HELP to make sure things continue to run smoothly. Anddd that’s about all I am willing to give away to prevent spoilers. 😏
We did double check in advance to see if it was alright to take pictures and video as we went through, and they encouraged us to! But, we think keeping most of the space’s secrets will make it far more enjoyable for you to discover on your visit.
I will add that throughout the experience the entire Meow Wolf staff (performers, security guards, monitors, etc.) was INCREDIBLE. Everyone we interacted with seemed truly happy to be doing their jobs and that is a huge testament to the company they work for.
Explore and Uncover Clues
As you go about your duties as a “new employee” at the store, you start to learn a bit about the company YOU are working for. But, something is not quite right.
Throughout the aisles, there are tons of things to discover and interact with. Almost all the items are available for purchase in this area and we were blown away by the attention to detail on each of the OmegaMart products! Their store also features some hidden portals that allow you to enter another dimension…
Would I Go Again?
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 stars)
One hundred percent, YES! I cannot recommend this experience enough for people of all ages. Fully air conditioned and indoors, less than ten minutes off the Strip- it’s perfect for a day trip in Vegas when you need a break from the casinos.
Insider Tips ⭐
If you are planning a trip to Omega Mart, here are some tips to make it as smooth a process as possible!
- Book your tickets in advance!
- Meow Wolf is currently operating this location at 80% capacity, which translates to 738 people max. As the summer in Vegas ramps up, tickets are going fast. We booked ours about a month in advance just to be on the safe side.
- Click here to book your Omega Mart tickets through their website!
- Reserve an EARLY in the day time slot
- Area15 opens at noon, but Omega Mart opens some days earlier than the rest of the venue! We chose the earliest option possible, which was 10am on a Wednesday, and definitely had the most fun in the first few hours before it got crowded.
- WEAR CLOSED TOED SHOES
- This is a big one. If you are in sandals, heels, flip flops, etc.- you will not be able to ride any of the slides! This definitely doesn’t make or break the experience, but there are a lot of stairs and climbing areas that are also made easier/safer with more secure footwear. The full list of clothing suggestions and requirements are on their website and sent via email prior to your visit.
- Pack Light
- The security was extremely diligent checking purses and bags, which in turn made us feel safe navigating this wild and unfamiliar space. So, you can bring a small bag and your water, but be sure to leave anything questionable in the car!
- Pace Yourself
- It is likely you will not be able to see EVERYTHING this exhibit has to offer on your first visit. Seriously, a group of guys we spoke with were there for the second time in two weeks because they hadn’t been able to finish everything the first time around! We certainly didn’t find all the “secrets” either, but had a blast running around exploring all the different rooms and learning more as we went.
- Embrace the Experience
- It’s weird, it’s wild, it’s fun. This truly is an experience like no other and stimulates every sensory realm! Be open to whatever you encounter, allow yourself to be playful, and enjoy each moment!
